Station 19 Episode 5x13 Cold Blue Steel and Sweet Fire REVIEW

Hello sweeties,

So Station 19 had another eventful episode this week, and man we have a lot to talk about.

Cold Blue Steel and Sweet Fire

The preview:

So as for the preview we are expecting to see some tidbits about Natasha and Robert's past, cause we heard they met 15 years ago, also little Pru's guardianship is still in progress, Miranda and Ben has a tough fight ahead, oh and a Candy Factory fire SWEET :)

That peptalk from Sulli to Tasha was quite impressive, the fact that both were in Iraq makes me admire Tash even more, I love her character and Merle is potraying thr Chief pretty good. It's so funny to see that their dynamic haven't changed since the deployement, peptalks, bickering, soft moments. I like this pairing more than Herrerra and Sullivan (sorry, I'm still rooting for the though), I'm excited to see now that he is single-ish.

Beckett has a huge drinking problem, and the fact that Sullivan tries everything  to get his shit together is because he knows what could happen (I know he had drug issues not alchohol but addiction is an addiction). On the factory fire it could've good completly south, cause he read the map upside down, eventhough I liked his character at the beginning, since that gas explosion I think he is suffering from PTSD, and it's gonna be the "death" of him, so go Sulli, push him over and over, but I don't think anything will change. I'm so glad though Robert does it, I kinda feel like since Tash showed up, and signed the divorce papers, he kinda found himself again and 19 is his prior again and I love it, wonder what's gonna happen if Andy will be the captain of 19.

Maya had THE meeting with The Chief and after what she's gone through with and since the demotion, she is still so hot headed when it comes up, she deserved what Chief Ross said, and THANK GOD finally said it to her face, it was needed, maybe now she can focus on being better every day and not just stepping over people around her in order to achive something. (Ambitious is not a problem, don't get me wrong, but her confidence and stubbernness is definitely a bad combination). I get that why she did what she did, and probably she would do it again and I admire that, but she has to admit at some point she went against her Chief , and she bit again when that specific issue came up (I know McAllister was a dickhead). The conversation what she had with Carina at the end of the episode I could finally see the old Maya, who we loved, I wanna see that Maya again. "I still love and we still make a baby, but I need get this out first" - the sperm donor issue was a bit too much for me, so thank you for put that aside for a bit.

Ahhhh Miranda Bailey I love you so much. Oh my God, she kicks asses everytime when we see her, asuh an amazing role model (and may I jsut say what an adorable couple they make with Ben :) )

Custody issues are always dirty (at least a never heard one where everything was colourful), Dean (our beloved) put it in his will that the Warrens get his daughter, but appearantly the grandparents all of a sudden wanna part of her life more than before.
Can we take a moment and appreciate Chandra Wilson's acting, I mean that woman cannot do wrong :)
So nanny first and then the Millers showed up (a bit late), I already had a feeling this won't be easy, and man I was right but I did not expect that would happen.
The way Miranda went with what the nanny said about doctors, was super brave and very smart, Millers deserved it. That agreement about they can have Pru on every single holiday is ridiculous and unfair. (May I just add what Vic said at the beginning of the episode that she would sue if they don't get the baby, she loves her sooooooo much, and she practically raised her in a way)
Mrs. Miller asked Ben to leave SFD literally. I mean, understandable but I'm kinda nervous and excited how it would turn out. (Also that poor munchkin has gone through enough already)

Lastly, Tremmett....Oh Tremmett.
I think the fans can agree that we've gone through shit in 5B. This episode, the beanery scene was hilarious, Vic's way of poking Travis about break up-not a break up was pretty funny (and actually she had a valid point about couples working together). I was suprised about Travis' pain tbh. In the past episodes we've seen, heard him say many things about Emmett and their realtionship. I kinda feel like, he regreted it that he pushed him away in some ways. If we put it in a timeline 5x10 Theo said Trav is one foot in and one foot out the door, 5x11 he confessed (in front of Emmett) that he is falling out of love. He tried to call him and I admire that, I was pissed Emmett didn't pick it up though, cause I thought they should've talk it out then. Trav admitted to Theo that he does love Emmett, and I think that was the first time (for me) when I could see Travis being afraid to lose him for real. 5x12 We've gone through all sort of version of how to make it up to Emmett, and Vic had an interesting way to help him, sometimes she was supportive, some ways she wasn't. Then Emmett showed up and I was sooooo damn proud of him finally stand up for himself and  bit off Travis' head, and then Trav's face again, the fear again...
Now 5x13, Crisis One call we all knew it would be very very awkward and we weren't wrong tbh. They got (kinda) saved by the radio, and had to leave the scene but still. At home Travis kinda confessed to Vic that "I don't think I ever really loved Emmett..." and at that point it was more painful than Emmett's rage. Vic face said to meg that she's not exactly believing it, and neirther do I, I think after what Em said "Please never call me again" and the call was not exactly smooth either, I think he tried to convince himself, cause it's easier to let him go, he was ready to let him go, then Emmett showed up at his doorstep. I see the relief on Travis' face , and what Emmett said he was not ready to let Travis go either, we'll see how it turns out, rn the storyline for these too is raging....

Additional thoughts:
-Poor Andy tried to reverse what she said to the Chief in order to keep 23 open.
-Jack reaction to Vic's accusation about workplace relationships is sooo funny
-Crisis One call, Emmett reaction about Alan died alone and no one noticed he was gone is heartbreaking
-Beckett such a dumbass, reading the map upside down????? C'mon man
-Mind crisis proposal was a bit odd but the way Theo and Vic looked at each other, made me cry :')
-Carina tried to be such a supportive partner even after Maya got denied, she has such a good heart
-Travis' reaction to Vic and Theo (the kissing and the noises) OMG, I can't help but imagine Theo back when Michael and Travis were dating :D

Next week....
